Strategic Alliances

Strong Me! has had a number of strategic partners in the Capital District since 2011 bringing programming to families in Albany, Troy, and Schenectady. Partners have included Whitney M. Young Community Health Center, St. Peter’s Health Partners, downtown Troy Boys and Girl’s Club, Macedonia Baptist Church as well as multiple churches in the Capital District, the Capital District Chapter of the Links, the Sanctuary for Alternative Media and Cornell Cooperative Extension.

Currently, programming is tentatively planned for Giffen Elementary School, Americorp, the Radix Center and Cornell Cooperative Extension to bring Nutrition Education, Exercise and Education around Sustainability to the Families of the South End. Families in the South End have some of the highest rates of obesity and poverty in the Capital District per 2012-2014 data.
